1. Introduction

Paintable Pictures LLC ("Paintable Pictures," "we," "our," or "us") operates product brands including Colorables and other personalized product services. This includes e-commerce storefronts such as shop.colorables.com and AI-powered applications such as colorables.com that generate personalized coloring books, stickers, magnets, and other products (together, the "Services"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you visit, make a purchase from, or otherwise interact with any part of the Services. If a conflict appears between this Privacy Policy and any other policy or agreement, this Privacy Policy governs how personal information is handled.

By using or accessing any portion of the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy and understand our data practices. Please do not use the Services if you do not agree with this Policy.

2. Scope of This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the following experiences operated by Paintable Pictures:

  • The Shopify-powered retail storefront where customers browse, purchase, and manage physical products or kits.
  • Our web applications where authenticated users upload photos, generate personalized products (such as coloring books, stickers, and magnets), manage credits, and receive digital content.
  • Related communications, customer support interactions, marketing campaigns, and operational services.

Some parts of the Services rely on Shopify or other service providers. Those partners may also process your personal information consistent with their own policies. We describe that relationship below.

Google Sign-In Information

When you choose "Continue with Google," we receive your Google account email address. We use it to create and manage your account, send transactional communications, and secure your access. We do not request access to your Google Drive, contacts, calendar, or other personal content.

You can revoke Paintable Pictures access at any time from https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Photo Content Lifecycle

Original photos you upload for product generation are automatically deleted from our systems within 48 hours. Generated pages are retained so you can access past designs and request re-delivery, but you may ask us to delete them at any time.

5. Relationship with Shopify

The retail storefront is hosted by Shopify. Shopify collects and processes personal information about your interactions with the store to provide, secure, and improve its platform. Information you submit through the storefront may be shared with Shopify and its subprocessors, which can be located outside of your home country.

We also use certain Shopify enhanced features that combine data from your interactions with our Services and other Shopify merchants to help us protect, grow, and improve our business. When Shopify uses personal information for these purposes, Shopify is responsible for handling related privacy rights requests. To learn more, review the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy or submit a request via the Shopify Privacy Portal.

6. Analytics, Tracking, and COPPA Compliance

Pre-Authentication Analytics

Before you create an account or confirm you are 13 or older, we collect limited, anonymous analytics data under COPPA’s “Support for Internal Operations” exception. This includes code redemption attempts, basic page views, system performance, and security monitoring. The data cannot be linked to you and is used only for internal operations such as preventing fraud and ensuring site functionality.

When you need more credits, the in-app “Buy credits” flow routes through Stripe Checkout and is available only to adults (parent or guardian). We require the adult account holder to complete any payment, and children under 13 are not permitted to submit billing information.

Post-Authentication Analytics

After you verify your age and create an account, we collect analytics to understand feature usage, run experiments, and deliver a better experience. This may include user journey tracking, performance metrics, and session stitching that connects pre- and post-login activity.

Analytics Providers

We use Amplitude for analytics and experimentation and Sentry for error monitoring. These providers process data under agreements that require appropriate safeguards for personal information.

Your Choices

You can manage analytics preferences by contacting us directly at [email protected]. Anonymous pre-authentication analytics that support the operation and security of the Services cannot be individually opted out of. You can also control third-party marketing cookies through browser settings and tools such as the Global Privacy Control signal described in Section 9.

7. How We Disclose Personal Information

We share personal information only as necessary to operate the Services or as required by law. Examples include:

  • Shopify and Stripe (payment processors) that power the storefront and process self-serve credit purchases. These partners receive the information necessary to complete your transaction and may handle it according to their own privacy policies.
  • Email and communication platforms such as Postmark that deliver transactional or support messages on our behalf.
  • Infrastructure partners including Cloudflare R2 and other cloud hosting providers that securely store uploads and generated content.
  • Trusted AI processing partners that transform uploaded photos into product artwork, under strict confidentiality obligations.
  • Analytics and diagnostics tools such as Amplitude and Sentry that help us monitor performance and resolve issues.
  • Business and marketing partners that assist with promotions or advertising. These partners use your information in line with their own privacy notices, and you may opt out of targeted advertising as described below.
  • Corporate transactions such as mergers, acquisitions, or asset sales, subject to appropriate safeguards.
  • Legal reasons to comply with laws, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Paintable Pictures, our users, or others.

We do not sell personal information for money. Where “sharing” or “selling” for targeted advertising purposes is defined by applicable law, you can exercise your opt-out rights as described in Section 9.

8. Security and Retention

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so keep your sign-in email account secure, monitor for suspicious activity, and notify us of any unauthorized access.

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, fulfill legitimate business purposes, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Photo uploads are deleted within 48 hours, while account and transaction records may be kept for longer periods consistent with applicable law.

9. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the rights listed below. These rights are not absolute and may apply only in certain circumstances. We will respond to verified requests as required by applicable law.

  • Right to access / know: Request access to the personal information we maintain about you.
  • Right to delete: Ask us to delete personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Right to correct: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Right to portability: Receive a copy of your data and request that we transfer it to another party where feasible.
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing for targeted advertising: Opt out of the use of your information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You can exercise this right via links provided in our communications or by contacting us. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we will treat it as an opt-out request for that device and browser. Other “Do Not Track” signals are not recognized at this time.
  • Managing communication preferences: Opt out of promotional emails by using the unsubscribe option in those messages. You may still receive non-promotional emails about your account or orders.
  • Revoke Google access: Remove Paintable Pictures from your Google account permissions as described above.

You may exercise your rights where indicated in the Services or by contacting us using the information in Section 12. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request. You may appoint an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf; we reserve the right to seek proof of that authorization.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights. If you have concerns about our response, you may contact us to appeal or lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

10. Children's Privacy

The storefront is intended for individuals who can legally enter into purchase agreements in their jurisdiction. Our applications require users to be at least 13 years old, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information, please contact us so we can delete it. As of the effective date of this Privacy Policy, we do not have actual knowledge that we sell or share the personal information of individuals under 16 years of age.

11. Third-Party Websites and Links

The Services may contain links to third-party websites or platforms. We are not responsible for the privacy or security of these sites. Review the privacy policies of any third-party site before sharing personal information. Information you make public or share on third-party platforms may be visible to other users without limitation.

12. International Transfers

We may transfer, store, and process your personal information outside the country where you live. When we transfer personal information from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on approved transfer mechanisms such as Standard Contractual Clauses unless the destination country has been deemed to provide adequate protection.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we do, we will post the revised policy on this page, update the “Last Updated” date above, and provide additional notice where required by law.
